Holt Engineering are recruiting for a Junior Project Manager to join a well-established manufacturing business in Portsmouth. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their project management career who is looking to develop within a fast-paced engineering and product development environment.
The successful Junior Project Manager will support the delivery of new product development and bespoke customer projects from concept through to launch, working closely with multiple departments across the business.

The successful Junior Project Manager will support the delivery of new product development and bespoke customer projects from concept through to launch, working closely with multiple departments across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of New Product Development (NPD) and bespoke customer projects from initial brief through to completion
- Create and maintain project plans, timelines, trackers, and project documentation
- Coordinate with internal teams including Design, Procurement, Planning, Production, and Sales
- Monitor project progress, track milestones, and highlight risks or delays
- Organise project meetings, record actions, and ensure follow-ups are completed
- Provide project updates and reporting to internal stakeholders
- Support change requests, specifications, and project scope updates
- Work with production and supply chain teams to ensure project feasibility and delivery targets are met
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Project Coordinator, Project Support, or Junior Project Manager position
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across multiple departments
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
- Proactive and solutions-focused approach
Desirable
- Exposure to manufacturing, engineering, or product development environments
- Project Management qualification such as PRINCE2 or APM would be beneficial but not essential
